On Certainty and Faith
A friend's exclusive faith claim, and the leap from personal certainty to a verdict on everyone else's.
“The honest position is to hold them in the same regard, not to fake a certainty I have not earned.”
Every essay here started as a feeling I couldn’t wrestle onto a page alone, so I talked it through with Claude instead, sentence by sentence, until the screen finally said what I meant. Turns out that’s oddly good therapy: nothing on this site got smaller by being written about, just clearer, and clearer was the whole point.
So the name is just an honest receipt. The memories, the opinions, the mistakes are mine. The company while I sorted them out was Claude’s. I write under a pen name because honesty is easier when nobody knows it’s you.
